I come from Umbria, a beautiful area in the centre of Italy, and as I live far from the sea I started exploring the South of Italy to find what I was looking for, THE BEST COAST. This gave me the opportunity to get to know the marvellous art and nature of Puglia. At the tip of this region, in the charming Cape of Santa Maria di Leuca in Salento, I have created the ideal holiday home for anyone who loves not only the Mediterranean sea and countryside but also Southern art and tradition.
With the help of Francesco and Biagio, two friends fron Salento who know absolutely everything about their region, I began looking for a place with a sea view surrounded by intact countryside and absolute tranquillity but also at a short distance from modern facilities.
At last, when I thought I was asking for the impossibile, we find THE HOME. It stands on the remains of a Norman tower built on a hill with a garden overlooking the marvellous turquoise Ionian sea. LA GRENZA, renovated using local Salento stone and traditional techniques and immersed in olive groves, Mediterranean bush and pine woods, just one mile and a half from sandy beaches. The seaside resort of Lido Marini is only one mile away, where everything you need can be found. I have.
